An Outlook for Mac user wanted to know if it was possible to display multiple time zones in the. Applies to: Outlook 2016 (Mac). You can also enable or change the additional time zones in Outlook's Preferences, Calendar. Hello, We are having some pain around Office/Outlook 2016 for Mac as opposed to the experience with OWA and Outlook 2016 for Windows. Specifically, we need the ability to open another user's calendar from the address book, without needing to setup sharing/permissions/etc.

I’ve installed an English version of Windows and also an English version of Office. However, when I go to my Calendar, I still see the names of the days and months in my native language (Dutch).

How can I switch this to English as well? Download film animasi naruto shippuden mp4 hd.

The names of the days and months as displayed in your Calendar is coming from your configured Region and Language formatting settings in Control Panel of Windows and not from Outlook.

Unfortunately, there is (still!) no option in Windows to have the selected display format really only apply to the language format but continue to use the language of Windows itself for the names of the days and months so you will not end up in a mixed language environment.

The solution (or actually workaround) is to still select an English format template but then adjust the rest of the formatting template to match your own language style again.

Note: If the name of the Calendar folder itself is in a different language than Outlook’s language see: Modify the language of the default mailbox folders.

Set Format style to English

You can change the language format in the following location;

  • Windows 8
    Control Panel-> Clock, Language, and Region-> Region
  • Windows 7
    Control Panel-> Clock, Language, and Region-> Regional and Language
  • Windows Vista
    Control Panel-> Clock, Language, and Region-> Regional and Language Options
  • Windows XP
    Control Panel-> Date, Time, Language, and Regional Options-> Regional and Language Options

The names of the days and months depend on the language format set in the Regional and Language applet in Control Panel.

Customize formatting settings for your language

After you’ve changed the language format template, review the settings for it. Especially for European countries, these can be quite different from the English (United States) style.

For instance;

  • Date format; day before month
  • Date format; – or . as separators
  • Time: 24 hour display
  • First day of the week: Monday
  • Decimal symbol: ,
  • Digit grouping symbol: .
  • Measurement system: Metric
  • Currency symbol: €

Note: Often the list separator is also a semicolon ( ; ) instead of a comma ( , ) but I prefer to set it to a comma as it solves a bug with importing/exporting csv-files (comma separated values).

Some of these values cannot be changed directly to the correct format from the Format tab such as the date format. To change this, click on the Additional Settings… button and select the Date tab. Here you can freely type the format that you want.
